Thailand seems like such a lifetime away now, but whenever I do reminisce, I get serious holiday blues… I honestly can’t wait to get back, some of the most amazing flavours, foods and textures were discovered out there. I am not into 5* luxury dining when I travel to non-westernised countries, I believe and can vouch that some of the best food experiences are found amongst the authentic, local street food.
So of course this Black Pepper Blue Swimmer Crab Tempura recipe is inspired by my seafood experience in China Town, Bangkok, you can read all about my visit to Thailand here. Can I just say… If you try this recipe and get it right, its going to blow your socks OFF! and I can hands down say I probably won’t ever oriental food as take out ever again, I’ll just make it, because I make it better and healthier. Not to say you won’t find me at Hakkasan or Novikov every now and then. lol.
Blue Swimming Crab is usually available at any local fish monger, I got a box for £5 or you can order them online here.
